These two Great Egrets were carrying on a mating ritual in the rookery at the famous Alligator Farm in St. Augustine, Florida, one day in late March. The alligators are the big draw for these birds, since they protect them from potential predators, and they apparently feel that the humans who come to see them don't pose a threat.
