Description
This cherub statue is gradually being enveloped by a banyan tree on the grounds of C d'Zan, the former winter residence of John and Mabel Ringling and now open to the public and merged with the Ringling Art Museum grounds in Sarasota, Florida. This was not part of the plan, however: the Ringlings covered their former estate with statuary and banyan trees without anticipating their eventual interaction.
This image took second place in the FAA Scary Valentine contest.
